Discover the Mâconnais and Beaujolais wines near Cloudeau, situated in the south of Burgundy touching the Beaujolais region (Department Rhône). At about 20 kilometers from Cloudeau you’ll find the Brouilly. It is the largest cru (1200 ha). Furthermore, you can enjoy the Morgon, Fleurie, Chiroubles etc..
In 'Le Hameau du vin' you can see, taste, smell, learn about wine making and wines. The 'Route des grands vins' guides you through the most beautiful vineyards and several wineries in the Mâconnais and Côte Chalonnaise. The white wines of Rully, Mercurey, Viré, Prissé and Pouilly Fuissé are world famous. You will also discover the crémant (better than Champagne?), aligoté, rosé and red wines in this region.
Many local products make the table into a feast. Meat from Charolais cows and sheep, chickens from Bresse, goat cheese (with Dufour near our house!), snails, frog legs, chocolate, we can continue without end. In the vicinity are many cosy restaurants,often of excellent quality, but also more exquisite restaurants.
